Deutsche Annington orders 192 Opel Astras from van Eupen

Essen, 19 May 2009 – Deutsche Annington Immobilien GmbH, Bochum, has ordered 192 Opel Astras from the car dealer, van Eupen, in Essen for its new field service. Some of the vehicles were handed over symbolically today. It is one of the largest single orders that van Eupen has received in recent years.

"We took a close look at the cars of several different manufacturers but in the end chose the Astra because it is excellent value for money. We are pleased that with our order we have been able to show we are fully behind Opel and the Ruhr area as a business location. We have our roots in the Ruhr area and feel we have a special responsibility for this region," explained Caspar Nonnenmühlen, managing director of Deutsche Annington Ruhr GmbH. "We are proud that we have been chosen to supply the vehicles," said Olaf Réum, managing director of van Eupen GmbH.

In future, the field workers of Germany’s largest housing company will be driving to their appointments at some 650 locations throughout Germany in the 192 new Astra 1.4 TWINPORT ecoFLEX cars.
The 66 kW (90 bhp) ecoFlex models are very economical using just 6.1 litres of petrol per 100 kilometres which means CO2 emissions are low, too. Deutsche Annington did not forget the field workers’ comfort when placing the order: In addition to the extensive standard fittings, the vehicles also have an auxiliary heater with timer, a built-in parking pilot and a navigation system.

The vehicles were built at the Opel factory in Bochum. van Eupen registered them and put the Deutsche Annington logo on them.
