Deutsche Annington Supports Town Councils’ Social Commitment
Bochum, August 30th, 2007 - Deutsche Annington Immobilien Group (DAIG, Bochum) is supporting seven town councils’ social commitment with a total of €13,000. At the “Deutscher Städtetag” conference in Munich, the company raffled-off prizes worth €5,000, €3,000 and €1,000 to cities and municipalities.
The first prize went to the state of Thuringia: the City of Leinefelde-Worbis will support the “Deutsche Plattenbauzentrum Leinefelde e.V.,” a non-profit, urban development organization. Its goal is to accompany the development of the prefabricated building sector and to promote road shows and workshops. “In the way we improve the tenants’ living conditions, we strengthen their link to the residential communities and build their self-esteem. To me, this seems to be the most important prerequisite in a successful urban development process,” explains Gerd Reinhardt, Mayor of Leinefelde-Worbis.
The City of Kiel is distributing their prize of €3,000 to three organizations: the protestant centre for addiction prevention, the women’s outreach clinic “Eß-O-Eß” as well as the city district of Schwentinemündung’s council for crime prevention. In addition, the cities of Bonn, Delmenhorst, Altentreptow, Dresden and Pirna will each receive €1,000.
