Deutsche Annington Acquires 2,300 Flats

Bochum, June 11th, 2007 - Deutsche Annington Immobilien Group (DAIG, Bochum) has acquired some 2,300 flats in good residential areas for a total of approximately € 179 million. The qualitatively premium units are located in Düsseldorf (some 1,200 units), Hamburg (some 440 units), Duisburg (some 160 units), Leipzig, Dresden (each with some 80 units), Kiel, Cologne, Mannheim (each with some 60 units), Berlin, Hildesheim (50 units each), Geesthacht (some 40 units) and Munich (some 20 units). The units have a gross, residential floor space amounting to roughly 162,000 m².

„Deutsche Annington, with its experience, regional structure and standardised IT platform, is in the position to be able to quickly and economically integrate even these smaller portfolios into the existing portfolio,” explained Wijnand Donkers, CEO, Deutsche Annington. “We examine the purchase of larger and smaller portfolios in the same way. At the moment we are actually looking at 80,000 flats. This year, we have €1.5 million available for acquisitions.”
