Deutsche Annington: Student Takes Seat in Boss’s Chair for a Day

Bochum, February 22nd, 2007 – The Deutsche Annington Immobilien Group (DAIG, Bochum) welcomes the winner of the student project, “Boss for a Day,” in their corporate headquarters in Bochum today.

As one of eight large corporations in Germany, DAIG participated in the nationwide Focus Money project last year. Following a visit by the students from the Wanne-Eickel comprehensive school in June 2006, Adam Kroker (19) will now spend a day with the CEO at DAIG. The student was able to successfully complete a two-day casting session in competition with his fellow students. A personnel consultatancy firm carried out the casting session.

Adam Kroker will experience a typical work day in the boss’s chair and will also be able to get to know different company departments. He will accompany Georg Kulenkampff, Chairman of DAIG’s Management Board, for the entire morning. Mr. Kroker will attend appointments with Mr. Kulenkampff and get to look over his shoulder during other tasks. After lunch with DAIG apprentices, where he will have the chance to converse one-on-one about apprenticeship opportunities at DAIG, the student will receive a glimpse into the communications department. In the afternoon, he will become acquainted with how the rental management department works, followed by an external meeting together with a DAIG representative at a local property. The goal of the project is to give the student a thorough insight into the management and strategy of the company.

Georg Kulenkampff,: “The ‘Boss for a Day’ project builds an important bridge between the Germany economy and the youth of our schools. We are pleased to be able to make a contribution to students’ interest in business.”
